AutoCAD 2013/2014 DWG Format

Hi, I downloaded AutoCAD 2013 for Windows 64bit, installed it. But when I run it, it shows up an error window saying "The configured Heidi driver cannot be loaded. Switching to default software driver". And when I try to change the view from the objects with the cube located in the superior right corner the same error shows up  saying "Error loading Heidi Module -C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2013\Drv\acaddm11.hdi".

I've searched everywhere for a solution but I can't find anything. If anyone knows how to fix it please tell me.

Hi,

what graphic card do you have in your pc?

If you start command _3DCONFIG ==> manual tune ==> try here to change the checkbox for hardware accerlation.

I have an Nvidia Geforce GT540M Cuda. I have already tried  the _3DCONFIG command and clicking the update cheking button but it says everything is ok. In manual tune what do I modify to fix the problem ?

I don't know if that fixes your problem, but on top of the Manual-Tune-Dialog you have a checkbox for hardware-acceleration. Try to switch it of and restart AutoCAD to verify the issue.

Another option for getting closer to the problem would be if you login to your Windows with another user-account and try to start AutoCAD again.

Hi all,

I had the same error. It's was a DirectX-Setup failure.

Execute ..\3rdParty\DirectX\DXSETUP.exe by hand, and ACAD 2013 will work!

I was able to trace the issue to having the Job Processor for Vault Pro 2013 running and then locking my screen.  Kind of like you would do when you go home at night so the Job Processor would run over night creating visualizations.  I ran  DXSETUP and then tried the screen lock again.  I still got the error.  At least it's a very repeatable error.  Perfect for Autodesk Support.

Okay, please forgive my stupidity, but where would you find the 3rd party folder?  I used to have an Nvidia video card but have switched to an ati v7900.  It (AutoCAD MEP 2013) tells me it doesn't have a driver.  When i deleted the Nvidia programs, is when all this started.
